How do I sell my device?

How do I factory reset my device?

Before packing your device to ship to KA-CHING you need to make sure it is wiped of your personal data and put back to the factory settings. Please be sure to deactivate ‘Find My iPhone’ and remove any PINs / activation locks.

Resetting an iPhone

Tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device]

Then tap Erase All Content and Settings

If asked, enter your passcode or Apple ID password

Wait for your device to erase. This should only take a few moments.

Resetting an Android

Tap Settings > Backup and Reset > Factory Data reset

Tap Reset Device

Tap Erase Everything

Unfortunately, if this step isn’t actioned our team will not be able to test your device. We will let you know if we need your help accessing the device, but please be mindful this process will slow down the payment process. If we are unable to get in contact with you to access the device, it will be returned free of charge.

My device doesn't appear when I search for it. Can I trade it in?

Looking to trade-in a device that we don’t currently list? Pop up to our team via the live chat or head to the Get in-touch page to tell us what device you have. Our team are always happy to help you earn cash from your tech so they will aim to get in touch within 24 hours to see what can be done!

Packing & Shipping

How do I send my device?

 Whilst trading in your device, the final confirmation step generates a free Royal Mail postage label. Simply print this off and attach it to your package. You can either ship your device from your local post office or take advantage of our free and convenient door-step collection. Once dispatched, we should receive your device within 48-72 hours.

How should I package my device?

After removing your sim card and resetting your device, package your device ensuring it is secure and protected with all edges of the parcel tightly sealed. We would advise using a suitably sized box and bubble wrap to make sure it gets to us safely rather than a padded envelope!

Do I have to pay for postage?

Postage is completely free! Your free Royal Mail postage label will be generated at the confirmation stage of your order.

Do you need my devices accessories?

We don’t require or ask for any accessories such as chargers, cases or headphones with your device. However, if you choose to send them we are happy to responsibly recycle them for you free of charge.

What about my SIM card?

Please remove your SIM card prior to dispatching your device. Should you send your SIM card with your device we can either dispose of it or send it back*.

*An admin fee will apply for us to return it.


What payment options can I choose?

We offer three payment methods for your tech – PayPal, bank transfer or cheque.

How long does payment take?

Dependent on your chosen payment type please allow up to 24-72 hours for the payment to reach your account.

Will be processed the same day we receive and test your device. It will clear in your account within 3 working days.


Will be sent same day via second class post and should reach you within 2-3 working days. Clearance times are dependent on your bank but allow 5 workings day.
